Founder & Managing Partner
Matthew Caiazza

"When is the closing?"
Matt Caiazza is a Partner at MTA Advisory Partners and the firm’s founder. He works closely with business owners to guide them through the complex process of selling their companies, serving as a dedicated advocate throughout each stage of the transaction. He co-leads client engagements, contributes to firm strategy, and plays an active role in growing the firm’s presence within the business community.
Matt’s perspective on M&A is shaped by decades of leadership experience operating and acquiring businesses. Over the course of his career, he has held executive roles across multiple companies ranging from $5 million to $100 million in revenue, including serving as CEO of two organizations with national customers and complex manufacturing operations.
His experience in mergers and acquisitions began during the 2008 financial crisis, when he worked as a turnaround and restructuring executive helping distressed companies stabilize operations, secure financing, and ultimately complete successful sales. Prior to founding MTA Advisory Partners, Matt also worked on the transactions team at Teamshares, where he helped acquire multiple small businesses and evaluated hundreds more.
These experiences shaped Matt’s belief that business owners deserve an advisor who represents their interests with the same commitment they invested in building their companies.
A Western Pennsylvania native, Matt lives in Lawrenceville with his wife Holly and their boxer, Lola. He is the proud father of two grown children and enjoys staying connected to the local business community.
